We Bought a Ranch

Is it going to be super easy, living here like this? Probably not. Are we still young, green, and a bit naive? Probably so. Have meltdowns been had, and are there meltdowns to be had? Lord knows it. But we’re in too deep now, so here we go! Aha!

The Evolution of Our Vintage Tiny House

Our vintage Shasta has undergone a handful of renovations over the last few years, including lots of sanding, painting, sanding again, and repainting… We’ve torn out cabinets, put down new floors, and have basically demo’d the kitchen twice. As our wants and needs on this Life Rustic journey have changed, our little house has changed and evolved right along with us.

The Rugged Summer

Years from now, when your skin has worn thin and your joints are rusted and creaky and won’t move anymore, what from your life will you look back to with fondness?

Me, when I am old and weathered, I will think of The Rugged Summer.

Kitchen Demos and New Scenery

We’re well on our way down this Life Rustic road, and we’re still two very happy campers. We’ve made a few updates to both the little vintage Shasta and to our lifestyle, including a kitchen demolition and major change of scenery.

We even made the life-altering decision to install a composting toilet.
